Coping with COVID-19: Information for Customers and Community Members

By June 18, 2021

For most people, the last two weeks have been overwhelming. You might be confused about what’s going on or be unsure of where to turn.

At Block Insurance, we understand those concerns. And we’re here to help protect our customers and the community.

Keep reading to get resources and tips for navigating the situation. Remember: We’re all in this together.

Contacting Block Insurance

We’ve made the decision, based on the governor’s order, to close our locations to foot traffic. Most of our employees are working remotely, and we’re taking the most precautions to ensure we’re staying healthy. But you can still reach us in several ways should you need anything:

  • By phone or fax
  • By email
  • Via online chat

You can also pay your bills online through our website. And if you do need to drop off a payment or paperwork, you can use the dropboxes outside each of our locations

Now might be a good time to set up automatic bill payment for your premium, where the amount will be automatically deducted from a checking or savings account. Paying automatically can help you save time, money and worry.

What If I Can’t Pay My Bill Right Now?

If a personal situation means you’re unable to pay your insurance premium now, please let us know.

Most companies are extending grace periods for insureds to pay their premiums (keep in mind that the premium is not being waived, just added to the next bill). Companies are also waiving late fees and not canceling policies during this time.

What If I Lost My Job?

If you’ve lost your job due to COVID-19 related situations, you have a few options. Visit OhioMeansJobs.com to browse all jobs in your field. Many businesses are hiring for temporary positions now to help keep stores stocked with essential items.

Where Should I Get Coronavirus-Related Updates?

We encourage you to only get your COVID-19-related information from reputable, official sources. These include:

Because information and statistics are changing so quickly, check back with these sources frequently for updates.

Don’t rely on outlets like social media posts from friends or family to get your information; always check official sources to confirm.
