Big Block Moments: Brian Miller & Miller Auto

Miller wasn’t looking to switch insurance companies back in 2016: He was happy enough with his provider. But when Block Insurance advisor Dan Zwiebel stopped by one day, it changed everything.

“I like to do local business,” said Miller. “Dan was interested in what we do. He saw flaws in the policy we had and explained why they were flaws. Together, we ended up setting down a policy that was tailored perfectly to what we do.”

For instance, when Zwiebel is in the area, he’ll stop in and see if Miller needs anything – like increasing the limits on his polices when he gets new or upgraded vehicles. 

Another service Miller raved about was how easy it was to get information. 

He gave the example of towing a commercial vehicle, like FedEx, that breaks down on the side of the road. Before Miller can tow it, FedEx needs an emailed copy of his proof of insurance. Miller can simply text or call one of the customer service agents at Block and have them email the certificate of liability directly, all in a matter of minutes.

“You want to talk about a happy customer – that’s it,” Miller said. “It’s so convenient that I can text them. It’s not ‘please press hold’ when you call. These people are right here; they’re five minutes away.”

Because Miller’s all about the local connection, he can’t say enough about the customer service he gets at Block Insurance.

“We know each other personally. I’m all about the convenience and simplicity of dealing with local hometown people. I’ve switched everything to Block  – personal, home, auto – all my insurance,” he said.
